Job Description
This role is for a Senior Lead Engineer in Structural Engineering, based in Ghent, Belgium. You'll be joining a team of around 120 experts responsible for delivering complex infrastructure projects both in Belgium and internationally. The company is looking for someone to lead and manage structural engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline goals.
You'll act as a technical expert, providing guidance and design reviews for other projects. A key part of this role involves driving the use of BIM and parametric design to improve efficiency and innovation. You'll also coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, prepare project proposals, and mentor junior engineers. The company values sustainable engineering solutions and staying updated with industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Civil Engineering and at least 20 years of experience in structural engineering, particularly with complex infrastructures like bridges and tunnels. Proven project leadership experience across all phases, strong BIM and parametric design skills, and excellent communication and leadership abilities are essential. Fluency in Dutch is required, with English or French being a plus.
