Job Description
The company is looking for a VDC/BIM Manager to lead their virtual design and construction efforts for complex MEP projects. This role involves overseeing BIM and VDC operations from the initial design coordination all the way through to fabrication and installation in the field. The goal is to ensure projects are thoroughly planned and constructible before any work begins on site, fostering a "build it virtually first" culture.
You'll be responsible for establishing consistent processes and standards for BIM/VDC, driving adoption across project teams, and building strong relationships to resolve coordination challenges. This includes leading the virtual planning and coordination of MEP systems, setting model quality standards, and implementing rigorous review procedures to identify and resolve clashes and constructability risks early on.
The position also involves overseeing the development of fabrication-ready models (LOD 400+) and ensuring they align with shop capabilities. You'll also lead and develop a team of VDC professionals, establish performance expectations, and encourage innovation. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with 7-10+ years of VDC/BIM or MEP construction experience, including 5+ years in management, and strong skills in Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
